I wouldn't say he hits harder but his power is up there. Let's not act like Walker is the 2nd coming of Earnie Shavers.

There are more active American heavyweights than in all European countries combined.

so he's right on his mendoza line-15-20 lbs lighter and Mitchell would be in trouble IMO but 15-20 lbs heavier and he's gonna be in trouble.

i got to fights all the time, bro. i see these guys. it's mostly fat guys with zero talent that wouldn't have an iceberg's chance in hell of being a professional athlete in any other sport.

other than wlaidmir, david, and vitali, most it it aint right. it's a sh#t division, and now it's migrated to europe. take from it what you will.

So you really know how many people watch the heavyweight championship on the entire planet? Sure there were peak times as with Tyson (who was more entertaining, not more talented than the current champiosn) but there were other times when heavyweight wasn't that popular just like today. It isn't like the past was only sunshine and roses.

Not sure what you mean with "is it a problem if it's a non entity in North America" but if you mean, if it matters wheter the current champion is American or not, it doesn't really matter. Americans still fight for titles and Americans still watch the fights.

In the USA, yes it obviously has lost it's shine.

But overall, the division is strong with the Klitschkos, Haye, Boytsov, Glazkov, Price, Fury, Pulev, Abdusalamov, etc.
