Don King, Russian promoter Vladimir Hyrunov, and the vice president of the World Boxing Association, Gilberto Mendoza Jr., held a meeting in Panama to discuss the mandatory fight between WBA cruiserweight champion Guillermo Jones (38-3-2, 30KOs) and mandatory challenger/interim-beltholder Denis Lebdev (24-1, 18KOs). King and Hyrunov are hoping to finalize a date and venue in the coming days.

How is that then when Jones is the champion? Jones has defended his belt twice in 4 years that is a joke.

Strip Jones if he does not make the defence, get some fresh blood in no wonder the cruiserweight division is dead when the champion does not even fight challengers. Jones is 40 years old very inactive and has no fanbase.
