wladimir has a glass chin, if you look at all his losses all of his opponents attacked him and thats why he got KTFO, over the last 7 years the quality of opposition has been so **** and whenever an opponent gets close to wlad, wlad grabs hold, if povetkin goes all guns blazin then he has a chanche

He must mean Hammers, Drills, Screwdrivers, yea because Wlad can afford someone to fix his ****, Sasha doesnt have money for repairman so must fix his Lada by himself.

Oh and Wlad bigger, stronger, smarter, better speed, better technique, more power, more experienced oh and he proven.....

Great athlete great skill but he gets too much praise as I do not think he is as great as u guys make him seem. Specially after he couldn't avenge his brutal loss to Sanders.
I agree with you, Wlad should have avenged that loss, as that would have shown real ability to conquer someone who was maybe a stylistic problem and shown a champions grit, going out on your shield if neccessary. I

'm only comparing to Wlad's skillset to his current level of competition such as Povetkin, who are merely average compared to other eras, so for his dominance in this era I feel he deserves some praise but nothing on the level of competition other champions fought.

I agree with you though, if he was placed in other eras he wouldn't have been anywhere near as dominant. Skillset of fighters has generally declined anyway. The technique, head movement, punch output, stamina, speed and most importantly inside fighting are so much more advanced in previous eras of heavyweight boxing, I cannot see Wlad or any other heavyweight of 2012 been able to show the versitility needed to adapt on a consistent fight by fight basis. These guys could do this for 15 rounds and come back for more, I've even watched the 90's guys on ESPN like Bowe, Lewis, Holyfield etc and I envisage Wlad in amongst them and can't see his current style working against these guys who had a Plan A, Plan B, Plan C and so forth. He'd have to come out and fight and the evidence of whether he can survive these bloody wars is not too great based on past and in the present he's had nobody to really come and try and take it to him.

I don't think Wlad had an "off day with Sanders." I think Sanders created a horrible matchup problem for Wlad. Sanders had exceedingly fast hands, good size and reach, good power all in a south paw style. Sanders would have been a handful for pretty much any of the top heavyweights at that time, including Lennox. He put a prime Rahman down early in their fight and had him badly hurt. Rahman later said he'd never been hit that hard by any fighter. That isn't to say Corrie Sanders was some great boxer--he wasn't. But he was a very high risk, low reward type guy. That's why he never got very many chances in his career--nobody wanted to get near him because his skillset made him incredibly dangerous.

The weakness of Wlad's chin has been oversold. He got up 4 times after getting clocked by Corrie Sanders--that in and of itself is impressive. Sanders is the only guy I've ever seen really hurt Vitale Klitschko--not even Lennox hurt him. Wlad ran out of gas in his other two fights--against Purrity and Lamon Brewster after he had been dominating them. Neither was a head shot ko, etc. I think Wlad's chin is comparable to Lennox's--he also got knocked out, but both of those kos were against very heavy punchers.

The only time I ever really thought that Wlad was glass chinned was when he fought Sam Peter the first time. He went down on stuff I didn't think should have put him down, but got back up, and won the fight. Ironically, despite having never touched the canvas in the fight, I think Sam Peter, not klitschko, never really recovered from that fight. In retrospect, I think Wlad's problem in the first peter fight was one of confidence, not his chin. he never really looked hurt.

Lomachenko Sr is right. He knows boxing and it's plain to see that Wlad has a limited skill set.

That's not to say that Povetkin can beat him though. He's just not mentally stong enough.
