It is the Hall of FAME, not the Hall of Records. Just as Mike Tyson belongs there, so too does Gatti. If you do not understand that, you do not get the point of having a Hall of FAME. Its not just for those who put up the numbers, its for those who make the game what it is. Thats why it goes beyond just boxers to include managers, promoters and writers. If you do not feel that Gatti's career contributed significantly to the game than that is one thing, but you state very clearly that you do. Gatti helped make the game great and brought many fans to appreciate the blend of art and savagery that is boxing. If that doesn't earn him a posthumous trip to the hall of fame, than clearly we have forgotten his impact on the sport in the short time he has been gone. That is a shame.
