  • Comments Thread For: Povetkin Names Tyson Fury, Adamek as 2013 Options

WBA "regular" champion Alexander Povetkin (25-0, 17KOs) is looking ahead after his recent two round knockout victory over former beltholder Hasim Rahman.

Povetkin is trying to position himself for a mid-2013 title date with WBO/IBO/WBA/IBF champion Wladimir Klitschko. Outside of a Klitschko fight, Povetkin says there are other options out there. Two of boxers he would view as potential opponents include unbeaten Tyson Fury and two-division champion Tomasz Adamek. [Click Here To Read More]

aaaaaaaand it starts already. I thought Wlad was the only option. Lets make the fight with Klitschko! Now, all of a sudden, there are other options? hahahahaha, rrrrright.

The only name he should be mentioning is Klitschko.

He might as well fight Wlad now. He'll only lose to Fury/Adamek otherwise.

Kalle said Povetkin Wlad in late Feb,Boente said
By June/July WTF is going on ? Why doesn't Beonte just make the deal happen,he must have a Klitschko date planned already around that time,Wlad v ? Or Haye v VK ! thoughts anyone, this is all bs why can't they just make the fight happen, seriously it's frustrating as hell,I wonder who will Povetkin fight to keep busy,I dont see Adamek fighting him unless he loses against SpongeBob in December, winner looks likely to take on Pulev, and Fury v Chagaev looks close at this point.Povetkin Vs Manswell 2 anyone ?

Adamek wants one last payday with Wlad, having Povetkins regular belt would make it easier for him. He would have to get past Solis first tho. Povetkin dont want to fight Wlad everyone knows that.

And Wlad needs to not get hit by Wach for couple rounds otherwise we will have to see a rematch between two of them.

Povetkin was very unconvincing against CW Huck so I don't think he's even close to being a serious threat to either K brother. Maybe he know that and is just cashing in on his paper belt.

If Adamek beats Solis then Pulev he'll have a mandatory shot at Wlad, big ifs I see him beating Solis and possibly Pulev,Pulev hasn't been tested yet,we don't know if he can tale a punch yet,ok Ustinov may have hit with a couple of big shots but he saw them coming,Jesus that Ustinov is one slow ass,Adamek be a different proposition.

he has until either feb or july to invoke his mandatory shot at wlad or he will be stripped of the regular(mandatory position)title. wlad is in the driver seat here & povetkin is not scared he is just milking as much money out of the regular title until he has to fight wlad or give up his paper trinket. they will fight...

Pulev beat three big guys who can punch in Travis Walker, Dimitrenko and Ustinov, so I wouldn't say he hasn't been tested yet.

Adamek will beat fat ass Solis fairly easily, but he won't beat Pulev.
