    Disqualifying fighters for "not trying"

Al Davis vs Johnny Jones, 1945

Jones was disqualified for "not trying." (Associated Press). Jones was down for a count of two in the 3rd.
What recent examples of fights are there when a fighter could have been disqualified for "not trying"

Clottey vs. pac, but that was more of a case of getting paid off than not trying.

When has Clottey ever exchanged with someone? Am I the only one who is aware of Clottey's style? The guy is totally black and white. If someone is throwing at him, he shells up until they are done. He never throws punches back unless his opponent isn't throwing anything. He never exchanges. Pacquiao constantly threw punches that fight and never allowed Clottey to come out of his shell. I think Pac literally threw over a thousand punches that fight. Clottey didn't open up because he felt the power of Pac's punch against his gloves and in fear he didn't want to.

Can you state a source or prove this?

Clottey fought the only fight he knew how to fight and lasted all 12..
I think boxing should follow the NBA who just passed a no flop rule and
if you get caught not fighting then yes you should be disqualified.

No idea what you're talking about, your join date is from a few days ago, should I assume you're an alt?

Now back to the topic, can you prove that Clottey was paid off? Or should I just quote BG knocc out and you can decipher his post?
