Good win for Fuentes..I always said Calderón should have retired after the 2nd Segura fight..Before the fight started I had the feeling it was gonna be a matter of time till Fuentes started landing his shots & Calderón was gonna fold like a taco!! & that's exactly what happened with the exception that it took a little longer than what I thought..& the announcers kept on talking about Calderón's 18 successful title defenses & he did retain the title 18 times, but he didn't win all 18 of those title defenses cause 1 of those was a technical draw against Mayol..Don't get Me wrong, that is a major accomplishment, but to try to put him over Tito Trinidad & Gomez(2 of Puerto Rico's best champions) is ridiculous cause even thou Calderón was a great technician & at one point dominated sweet science of hit & don't get hit(or a least get hit the least possible) but no way he had the heart & warrior mentality Gomez & Trinidad had & Trinidad & Gomez faced the cream of the crop & that's something Calderón never did..

Calderon took the risk to move up yes, he would've been better off not to have done so. But for boxing's sake it was worth the try...

It was a risk not worth taking!!!! He was a great 105 fighter already, what's the point in trying to fight guy's that are going to out weigh you by 15 or 20 lbs??? He could have been a hall of famer if he would have stayed at 105.

It was just a matter of time. Moises was never going to win on the scorecards so he did the right thing, just hit Calderon to the body until he couldn't move anymore and then just take him out.

Your entire block of text is arguable. Calderon fought many champions and beat most of them. He was involved in some classics

ANd he has heart. It takes heart to go into a fight knowing, that you'll be outweighted by 20 pounds, give up 5-8 inches in height, and knowing you have 0 power. And win fights just by being one of the greatest technicians to lace them up.

Talk about heart...the only thing that stopped Ivan was his age. Prime Ivan, like was showcased in the first three rounds would mop the floor with this kid, and I doubt Segura would have won. Ivan showed more heart than Tito did, by coming back to fight, after losing to Segura. He lost to Segura, and said **** it, and went to his home town and tried again. That's some ****ing heart. He didn't retire just because he lost

Tito's heart is questionable. He got his ass kicked by Hopkins, and quit the game. Came back, got humiliated by Winky and quit the game, came back looking like a blimp and got beat up by RJJ before finally going away forever. His heart is more questionable than Iron Boy's is.

Calderon you were great in your day but you need to retire now before people forget how great you were.

Hahaha another win for Mexico and for true boxing fans. You see, " slick " " boxers " like Calderón, et al, are really athletic performers. They rely on movement and stamina but lack power, resistance, and most importantly, COJONES. Which Most Latinos, Europeans and East Asians have.
