Why would he even go there? He can't get fights in the US? Why risk gettin robbed?

Juan Manuel Marquez was stripped by the IBF for no one bidding on his mandatory fight with Rakkietgym. Subsequently, he lost his WBA "Super" champion status, and in order to have the WBA belt, he has to face Chris John, who fights out of Indonesia. The purse bid was won by someone who wants to put on the fight there, meaning that Marquez will be getting paid $31,250 for one of the most messed-up scenarios in boxing for 2005.

This fight was supposed to be this month but John cancelled due to injury. JMM is risking getting robbed over there. Marquez could've fought a rematch with Pacquiao getting fifty times more money and possibly even more dough and recognition if he'd have won.

Pac may not have won against Marquez but he sure ****ed him up mentally.
