So basically Clottey became a born again christian? I thought this guy was ****** his last message said Allah akbar, now he is saying Amen?

they say amen in islam too, well they pronounce it ameen so it's not as gender-biased as the christian version and it's got more of a hip hop vibe too.. it rhymes with nah mean

Is Clottey a ****** - him saying Allahuakbar seems to imply that he is.

Anyways I have always been a major fan of Clottey. Every time someone mentions him I have that image in my head; he cannot tek my ponches!!!

But on a serious note Clottey’s strength and physicality made him a nightmare for WW’s. Once he moves up to LMW he will find that fighters like Canelo, Martinez and Kirkland are not as easily intimidated or bullied as Corrales/Judah. It will be a lot like what happened to Arthur Abraham at SMW.

Clottey’s own indiscipline is to blame for him not having as much success at WW. He should have had a win over Cotto but problem was he couldn’t find the gas pedal. Later on it transpired he was too busy getting jiggy with his missus the night before. If he had that win over Cotto then he could have gone on and fought Berto, Ortiz. Clottey should have been a nailed on HOF’er.

LOL, didn't Clottey say he wanted to fight at 154-160 and wanted Canelo and Martinez, people are trying to discredit Clottey so it makes Pacquiao look bad like Pacman was fighting a bum, but Clottey has probably the hardest double guard defense to break in boxing.

Clottey if he stayed in shape will give anyone hell, **** Mayweather would have trouble with him because it would force him to be aggressive.

Shane Mosley actually rejected a fight with Clottey because his style was too similar to a guy who beat him twice Winky Wright.

Ill always be a fan of the dude, boring style but for some reason I liked watching him fight.

I don't think that this is accurate. Clottey and Berto were both part of a group that were going to fight Shane in '09 after Shane KO'd Margs. Berto couldn't go because of the earthquake in Haiti, so a Mosley/Clottey fight was supposed to happen late in '09. I forget the reasoning for it not happening, but I do remember at some point HBO didn't want to air a fight too close to Xmas. Shane went on to sign for the Floyd fight. I do know, for sure, that he never turned Clottey down.

The only fighter that I know that Shane ducked was the Punisher.

Edit: My order was wrong; the Clottey fight fell through first (for a couple of different dates), and then the Berto fight fell through.

Yeah the berto fight was going to be in march and then berto had relatives who died and that was cancelled and mosley fought PBF in may. The berto fight was signed and a go and everything, just the earthquakes happened
