Personally, I don't believe that weed should be illegal, BUT it is vs. the law, therefore, it should be a banned substance in boxing. Rules are rules. So for those who are b!tching & moaning about it's just weed, the sanctioning bodies should just say fcuk the law & gov't, we will do whatever we want? GTFOH, if it EVER becomes legal again, then there's no issue, but until then, act like you have some sense......

I don't know why Roach is regarded as the best trainer in the world; I mean, other than MP who does he have? You look at other elite trainers, and you can SEE their training camp when they fight. Freddie Shakes can't teach something he never had; DEFENSE. Therefore, JR- do yourself a favor and learn boxing, the sweet science of it, because you get hit too much. That is your downfall and Roach cannot help you with your defense.

I don't think his testing positive for weed is a big deal in itself. But it shows a lack of dedication.
This guy was preparing for his biggest fight in his life, a chance to prove he belonged outside of his Dad's shadow, and how does he go about it?
Blowing off your world class trainer so you can exercise in your living room? Sleeping all day and working out at 2 am?
I knew at the weigh in that Martinez was going to work this kid, Sergio was preparing for battle and Jr. was preparing for a nap and some frosted flakes.

To teach someone basic boxing defence that is 26 yrs old and 47 fights into a professional career is gonna be nearly impossible. No, more like subtle excuses. Jr. is a spoiled kid who has been handed everything, plain and simple. He sits there and says there will be a lot of changes in his next camp, citing how his dad and Roach were pushing contrasting fight plans. He trains at 2 in the morning because he has insomnia. He tests positive for weed. He says he had his nose busted in round 8 and it became a downward spiral. What about rounds 1 - 7 ? There are reports that he is ******** his money away. Wonder why he's doing that - could it be because he has never had to earn a thing in his life, including a legitimate middleweight title?

I sincerely hope Martinez takes other big money fights and does not give this spoiled, arrogant prick a rematch.

this is what you get from a hard headed boy.fighting tomato cans and finally get in there with a real fighter and fraudvez jr got whoopped. drinking,drugging,and not listening is a recipe for disaster.plus arum using fraudvez jr to make money should take some responsibility.
