Too many insecure kids in this forum. If you wear a pink shirt you are gay? Damn kids with their prejudice and their ignorance. Orlando is always openly gay. I remember seeing him drinking with his friends in Santurce and he never had a problem. So this right now is all PR stunt.

The guys that call Cotto gay have issues. Serious issues. He is known in here for being a womanizer. He used to hit on every single girl and more often when he was drunk. Good for him. Although I have to admit, the thread title caught me by surprise. There's tons of gay professional athletes, you really have to applaud this man for coming out and saying something like that, the balls you have to have is unimaginable. The amount of ridicule he's probably gonna receive from some folks is going to be off the charts, especially competing in a combat sport like boxing.

My hats off to him and I'm sure he has a huge burden of his shoulder and feels great. Good job son.

To be honest, I've never saw him fight, and as others have said..I can imagine it might be difficult for him to get big fights now, due to discrimination/or fighters possibly not wanting to lose to a gay fighter. Which is unfortunate, lets hope it doesn't hold his career back, because someones personal life is just that; personal, and it shouldn't affect a mans career.

Don't know if that guy wearing pink is Argentine, but pink is a common color worn by men in Argentina. They had no idea us Americans think its "gay", its actually a popular color for men. I know this because I was dating an Argentine chick that bought me a pink shirt as a surprise gift and I was like "w...t...f...?"

THAT guy Was OBVOUSLY gay, I dont care WHAT color he was wearing.
