I should just copy and paste my posts because apparently no one reads the thread. Locking up an april date 2 weeks before the biggest boxing weekend is really saying, we don't want to fight Mayweather. Mayweather isn't going to fight on that date, it's almost guaranteed. People still kind of want May-Pac, and locking up a date...before you even get close to your upcoming fight, really makes that look even less possible then it was. That's a hard thing to do lol.Comment

It took a while for Marquez to be named as the next opponent, though. Happy to hear that both guys aren't interested in fighting for a 5th time. April will probably be a Bradley rematch, assuming he wins his next fight.Comment

may 5th at the MGM arguably makes the most business sense for obvious reasons. meanwhile, bob and pac want to fight on obscure dates in a fantasy stadium somewhere on a far off neverland where mysterious pixy investors await them. mayweather locking the date is somehow offensive even though they had no problem before fighting marquez, hatton, mosley on cinco de mayo weekend at the MGM. they've done the same **** before and are doing the same **** now. you have to be thick not to see how these snakes operate.Comment

it means nothing, it merely follows the usual pattern of Pac's booked fights, one in the spring, one in the fall, with the offchance of a rescheduling
This is a TYPICAL behavior from a fighter who is guaranteed to fight TWICE a year, instead of some UNPREDICTABLE fighter like Floyd who takes VACATIONS or goes to JAIL
As usual, there are are people who read too much into something that means nothingComment

Yup. Already has the next opponent picked out (Not Mayweather) and will spend the whole time promoting the fight by talking about wanting to fight Mayweather. Same old **** from both sides. Very tired of it now.Comment

May is not an option on Pacquiao, he is running again as a congressman and the elections is in second week of May. I will not be surprise if flomos and floyd itself will insist a May date to duck this fight. Floyd vs Pac dont need Cinco de Mayo or any special holiday, the fight itself is a not only the biggest weekend of boxing but the biggest fight of the decade or might be the biggest fight in the century!Comment

It doesn't need Cinco, but it can wait if it's not on then. A canelo fight makes just about as much money on may 4th than pac on april 20th. FComment
