You're obsessed with Wlad Klitschko, aren't you? You bring him up in every thread you post in, including ones that have absolutely nothing to do with him.

I'd disagree with that, my brother.

If Toney wins then there-but-for-the-grace-of-God-and-steroids it would have been a unification match and his second belt.

If Rahman wins he's just some guy who got given the belt without earning it and beat a former middleweight in his first defence. Yeah, I know Toney is one Hell of a former middleweight, but sadly - at least as far as I'm concerned - that's the double edged sword of Toney fighting at heavyweight.

If a heavy beats him, what the Hell, they were a much bigger guy anyway. If he beats them, it's another confirmation of his greatness. Not fair, but life's a ***** and all that.

Not that I'm trying to influence this poll, but all the leans towards Rahman or a "pick 'em" fight seem to be operating under the illusion that Rahman is a good boxer. He isn't.

rahman has the puncher's chance, the problem for him is that he only throws one right hand at a time, and usually nothing to set them up - that doesn't work against a guy with mad skillz like toney. also toney is a counterpuncher, rahman is a stand and trade guy, he'll stand in front of toney and throw one punch at a time - easy for james to counter his shots and outwork him to a dec. this is also james' second chance at greatness, and he knows this, i know he's hungrier for dat title than rahman is.

I was one of those saying that this is a pick -em fight Bro but I'm not under the illusion that Rahman is good I'm just considering the fact that irregardless how BUM Rahman is, he is in his natural weight class and Toney is just a blown up middle weight As I said one punch can always change the equation.

Yet Rahman has to land his punch clean, which is virtually impossible to do on Toney.

                  Toney is the ultimate boxer.

I have never really seen toney get hit by a power shot clean. He took some good shots from jirov and jirov is and ok puncher but toney just moved a little and he took the punches power away so even if rahman hits him its not going to land full force on toney I could be wrong though

Sorry to be a vocabulary **** but the word is 'regardless'. 'Irregardless' is not actually a word. Not your fault. If the president of the USA says it then how can you expect anyone else to know better.
As it happens I agree with your viewpoint entirely. Even in Rahman's only belt winning victory it was a solid but isolated punch. Lewis, in poor condition by his standards, was show-boating and left himself open. Toney has not shown that propensity. Showboating yes, leaving himself open? No.
Rahman has never impressed me as a good fighter in any department except for a solid right hand. It's not even a spectacular punch.
Has anyone EVER seen the aforementioned "hungry, in-shape Rahman that wants to blister some ass"? Cause I haven't.
I'd LOVE to see a 'hungry, in-shape' Toney but Mr. Toney obviously is very rarely in any kind of hungry condition.
