for those who have been to a pro fight

Im interesed in going to the cotto vs trout fight in december but my problem is im not trying to pay 1st row money and i dont want to go and watch it on a screen because im sitting to far to see the actual fight so for those that have been is there a limit on how far up you would sit before it starts being not worth it and being better off watching it on t.v.

It's cool to go to live fights, especially if the crowd is supporting one or both of the boxers. I was just at the Chavez jr-Martinez fight and it was awesome. I had $75 tickets and it was upperdeck but for fights of that magnitude, going to a live fight is a good experience

I was at the 300 section of MSG for the Cotto/Margarito II fight.

The lay out of the stadium is nice that you can see the action from either vantage point, from the screen or watching the fighters directly. Both are viable sections. I can't say about the 400 section though, but I think its fine. I'm probably going to the fight too, but I want some 200 or even 100 seats if I can. But 300 is a good spot

I went to Cotto-Marg II, bought tickets for $100, saw everything perfectly fine from about the middle section, then ran to the ring after the fight and got to meet a ton of legends

Wherever you sit you won't be able to see the action as good as you would on a TV, you can only see the fight from one angle. Unless you are in the first few rows you won't be able to see punches that land/didn't and the subtle moves fighters make. TV with it's many angles and close ups will always be the best way to see and appreciate a fighters skills. Going to see the event is all about the atmosphere and having a fun night out.

            Same here

The Arena is an oval tho so youll want to get tickets in the sides instead of length wise ones. They are closer for the same price

I personally won't go unless I have really good/ excellent seats. Not having any commentary ( as bad as they are ) leaves something to be desired add in the fact you won't able to see too well ... sounds like a bad time ... for the "mega fights" I'd much rather stay home and watch in HD ... but for say a "Judah vs Paris" spend the extra money ( around $250 per ticket ) and get front row seats ... Def worth it

First few rows are actually the worst in the case of seeing action because you're under the ring and and can only see one angle. From a little height its better

You'd spend $250 to see Judah-Paris but not to a cotto fight?

I've only been to fights in football stadiums and in the stands you can't really see what lands\doesn't unless you look at the big screens, i just go to enjoy the atmosphere.
