just to sidetrack with some questions for you coach scully:

do you think roach's time is over as a coach or at least should he seriously streamline and limit the number of fighters he "trains" simultaneously?

how much do you think he's to blame for the recent losses of some his fighters? shouldnt the coach of any world class fighter literally be on-call 24/7 for the entire training camp instead of spreading himself too thinly and diminishing the amount of quality time he spends with any one fighter?

and finally do you think roach's coaching capability is overrated and media-hyped, where in reality his recognition is mostly because of pacquiao's natural abilities as a fighter, rather than roach's ability as a trainer?

it'd be great to hear any opinions or insight you have.

hey iceman just a quick question,do you think it would benefit roach to just concentrate on a couple fighters due to his disease because to me he has deteriated quite bad in the last 2 years physically having such a heavy work load seems to be really taking its toll plus with junior messing him about in his last camp surely freddie doesnt need this

Makes sense to me although, to be clear, I have no REAL idea on Freddie's condition...I can only go by what I see on TV.

I think people need to understand that with Parkinson's YOU NEED to keep the mind active. People rag on Roach a lot but I commend him for keeping up the fight. He just needs to make sure that his 2nd can properly give commands to his fighter come fight night so communication is on point (oh and his fighters NEED TO STICK TO THE GAMEPLAN).

basically freddie taught fighters how to fight similar to his own style, which in turn was an attempted imitation of roberto durans style because that was freddie's favorite fighter. there's nothing really genius about doing that in my opinion, it's pretty standard for trainers who were former fighters to do that. mccgirt did the same, which is why malignaggi said he left him.

as we've seen that duran style of fighting works for some fighters but not for all, the better trainers are able to train more than one specific style imo, and thats why i think freddie is a little overrated because he's a limited trainer, just as he was a limited fighter. i got nothing against him though, just calling it how i see it.
