I do not remember Del Valle being that bad. Kid looks uncoordinated and unathletic. Sloppy puncher. Almost reminds me of Luis Cruz.

God the only sharp punching PR prospect is Dulorme.

Roy says that Del Valle needs to brawl because "you cant box with a guy like Vic...that would be worse for him. Vic has too much experience." You also probably noticed how many times he called Del Valle "kid" or "the little guy" because just like the man Nonito is fighting next week (or as Roy refers to him "whats his name") Roy didnt ever bother to learn the fighters name or anything about him. Then at one point Roy is freaking out over how "the little guy" is taking too many shots and that it might be time to stop it. That lasts for a round or two, followed by "He aint kill'n em with those shots, and if he aint kill'n em, why rob "the kid" of his Chavez JR moment? His knees aint buckled, so let him fight." Oh, and I got sick of hearing how proud Roy was of all the dirty pool Vic used in the fight. He even suggested that Del Valle learn some low blows, head butts and elbows. Jesus tapdancing Christ HBO...you cant get an ex fighter who gives a ****?

On to the fight. Vic fought the best fight he could, and got a kid in front of him who fought the wrong fight and was confused when presented with Vics style. He pulled out every trick in the book to win, but hey, if the ref doesnt call a single one of them I guess...
thats why he got fired the first time. not going to the meetings and doing the prep work he was supposed to.

I couldn't agree with you more! In fact, man it seems like PR is experiencing a serious a significant brain drain in trainers.

I'm just watching this card now (Escalera is doing his ring walk atm)...I dunno why there are like 6 Vic threads, he looked the same as ever...wtf is he doing fighting for the NABF belt anyway? He graduated out of those belts years ago.

Good win for Vic, but on the other hand I didn't see nothing special in Del Valle, he would loose to all the top dogs at 122 even against Santa Cruz coming from 118 to 122!

Props to Vic for the victory.Another example of experience prevailing youth.Del valle was just following him and not really setting anything up.And by the time he did, hello counter.Hopefully he'll bounce back the kid had allot of good action fights.
