Anyone notice how men who call themselves "macho" end up acting and dressing like faeries?

Hector Camacho Sr. arrested on burglary charge in Mississippi
          Associated Press

GULFPORT, Miss. - Three-time world boxing champion Hector "Macho" Camacho Sr. was arrested Thursday in Mississippi for the burglary of a Gulfport business last November.

Gulfport Police Chief Stephen T. Barnes said Camacho, 42, was being held in the Harrison County Jail on $50,000 bond pending an initial court appearance. No date has been set for the court appearance.

Barnes declined Thursday to release any details of the burglary - including what kind of business it was or what was allegedly taken.

Barnes said a warrant was issued for Camacho on Dec. 22. He said the burglary was reported to police on Dec. 2.

"Evidence collected from the burglary scene was submitted for analysis and assisted in the identification of Camacho," Barnes said.

Barnes declined to say what that evidence was.

Camacho (78-5-2, 38 KOs) has been training on the Mississippi coast for a scheduled middleweight bout with Chris Walsh (19-7-1, 7 KOs) on Jan. 21 in Gulfport. Hector Camacho Jr. (37-1-1, 21 KOs) is taking on Frank Houghtaling (18-9-5, 4 KOs) at the welterweight division the same night.

Hector Camacho Sr. won an unanimous but unexciting 10-round middleweight fight over Clint McNeil in July. Camacho is a former super-featherweight, lightweight and junior-welterweight champion. His last title bout came against then-welterweight champion Oscar De La Hoya in 1997, dropping an unanimous decision.

Camacho has had several brushes with the law involving drugs, his driving habits, and domestic assault. When he was 16, he served 3 1/2 months in a New York prison for auto theft.
