the truth is Martinez is a threat to Mayweather and his fans are scared and coming up with excuses plain and simple because if Martinez wasn't a threat you be saying bring it on.

and by the way Mike Tyson was 5'10 and Joe Fraizer was 5'11 but I guess they're too small to fight big guys. Joe Louis was KOing guys who had 50 to 60 pound on him. so if you fight at a weight class and beat the weakest champ but refuse to fight a difficult fight with somebody at that weight you are a cherry picker.
Stop worrying about what Floyds fans are thinking. Just because you see their words doesn't mean that YOU know what they're thinking homer. And wtf would Floyds fans be scared of, lmao. Every now and then sports comes up with an anomaly. All sports had one whether you like it or not.

Why does he have to move up? He already moved up from 154 to 160 and he's not that big. Golovkin just beat Proska, very impressively, but that doesn't earn you a shot at THE Middleweight Champion of the World IMO. He should try to fight Pirog or Geale, then start beating the drum for a Maravilla showdown.

I'm simply stating the obvious that Martinez is bigger than Mayweather, a lot bigger. And those trying to say anything to the contray is either a moron or completely full of ****.
OK really, it sounds like scary business to me.

let's look at the facts for a second.

Martinez can make 154 and doesn't really rehydrate much. 165 against Macklin right?

          Ortiz rehydrated to 164 right?

          Ortiz is 5'9 175cm
          Martinez is 5'10 178cm

so Martinez is a giant because he is 3 let me say that again 3 big centimenters and ONE whole pound heavier than Ortiz.

all I'm saying is Mayweather shouldn't fight at 154 if he afraid to fight at the weight.

sorry but the truth is if Cotto's straight left can hit Mayweather what do you think Martinez's straight left will do? you and Mayweather and all his fans know what it will do and are scared. sorry but the truth hurts getting mad and calling people morons doesn't change the facts

bet they are afraid because if Martinez wasn't a threat they would be making excuses left and right. even Mayweather has made excuses. actions speak louder than words.

were any Mayweather fans threatened like this when he fought Hatton? JMM? hell no they weren't because they knew Mayweather had a good chance at winning but he doesn't against Martinez.

When did Mayweather make excuses about Martinez? Do you even know what he specifically said about Martinez after the Ortiz fight when he was asked? He basically clowned Martinez in so many words.

Dude Cotto hit Mayweather with a couple bull**** flicking jabs, generally at the end of exchanges. And with all the "connecting" Cotto did, he still only managed single digit connects per round. The fact is Martinez has a bull**** style that has a lot more flash than substance. He basically runs the whole fight pot-shotting, and when he gets tagged, he likes to comeback and flurry. If you think he can stand on the outside wiggling his shoulders flicking a backhanded jab and shooting an occasional left amd get the better of Mayweather, you're sadly mistaken. Martinez's biggest advantages against Mayweather would be size, which he doesn't use, and handspeed, which won't be nearly as overwhelming against Mayweather as it is the slow ass middleweights he's been use to fighting. Martinez doesn't press, which mean he won't be able to catch Mayweather at the end of exchanges like Cotto did. IMO, Mayweather and Martinez are both master counterpunchers. But IMO, Mayweather is a superior counterpuncher not to mention worlds better defensively. Martinez will likely have his moments. But in the end, he'll end up getting outpointed.

let's see. Mayweather says "no catchweights" all the time right? he uses that to distinguish himself from Pacquiao, who very often fights at catchweights?

we can agree on that right?

when asked about Martinez what did Mayweather say?

"yeah maybe at a 150 catchweight" and "go fight Andre Dirrell"

sounds like some back tracking to me.

ohh he can fight Cotto at 154 but not Martinez? ok

what the kyptonite for counter punchers? volume
Martinez threw 900 punches against Chavez maybe 900 isn't volume to you but maybe it is. plus the key to defeating the philly shell defense is lateral movement and I think Martinez does that fairly well.

I'm not saying it's an easy for Martinez but it isn't a sure thing for Mayweather and that's exactly why Mayweather and his team won't take the fight. Mayweather has the style to beat Martinez you're right but it's not a sure thing for Mayweather, it's too close a fight.

he might fool us all but I doubt it.

Ok, so you think that Floyds fans don't want Floyd to fight a threat. Big ****ing deal!
