I've seen this movie too many times before bro. The last couple years of Roy Jones reign as P4P King, he was a ducker, scared to fight anyone with a pulse, blah, blah, blah. And when he finally lost to Tarver, his haters cited that he would have lost long time ago if "he had fought someone."

Its no different with Mayweather. His haters have no interest in giving this man credit for what he's done. All they want is to see him beaten. And when he's beaten, it will validate the nonsense they've been spewing for years. They will claim he was never any good in the first place and was "exposed" once he got in with a real fighter.

This is funny. Mayweather's fans are throwing up every excuse to not fight a legit guy. All the talk of mayweather's weight is bull****. He won the 154lb title twice. Martinez spent most of his career at 154 and couldnt get a decent fight. Now that he comes down to fight the 154lb champ, its wrong for him to call out Mayweather?!?! I'm not understanding something here. I truly believe Ellerbe and mayweather write on these boards because some of these dumb assed posts use their ****** logic. Of Course we'll never see Mayweather/Martinez, but these idiots will be fine with Mayweather/Ortiz II.

So all of this Sergio is too big **** makes me remember the whole Mayweather/Marquez fight. I'm guessing Mayweather was too big for Marquez. We shouldnt give him credit. Marquez was 135 coming up and Mayweather was 154 going down. I've come to like Mayweather, but I cant stand dumb asses on here who post nonsense in his defense.

You do realize that against DLH, Mayweather weighed in at 150 and "rehydrated" to 148 the night of the fight. And against Cotto, he weighed in at 151 and "rehydrated" to 147. I would love to see him fight Martinez. That's the fight I most wanna see. But the nonsense about Mayweather being a legitimate jr middleweight is well, nonsense. And the notion that Martinez is a true jr middleweight fighting as a middleweight is even dumber than the horse**** about Mayweather being a natural jr middle. Martinez gets up over 180lbs between fights, and I've never seen him look fat. There's a huge size difference between the two. Bigger than size advantage Ward would have over Martinez.

Absolutely Mayweather was too big for Marquez. That fight should have never been made and this is coming from a Floyd fan. To make the statement that Sergio is not that much bigger than DLH is garbage. DLH made 160 "once" and that was against Sturm and he looked fat and bloated. That's why in his second fight he came in at 155lbs, one pound over his "natural" fighting weight. FYI, Mayweather has only made 154 once and that was against Cotto. He weight 150 on the unofficial scale for DLH. He was not coming down from 154 to fight Marquez, he came down from 146 which is what he weight in his previous fight against Hatton. And you can't compare Marquez/Mayweather to Martinez/Mayweather, Marquez called out Mayweather. It wasn't the bigger guy calling out the smaller guy.

Mayweather didn't make 154 for the Cotto fight. He weighed in at 151 and entered the ring at 147.

excuses are like a--holes everybody has one.

if Mayweather can't fight somebody at 154 the he should move back down and not move up and cherry pick little trinkets.

the arguement about ohh Mayweather started at 130 is horse s hit

Roberto Duran started his career at at 118 but somehow he fought Marvin Hagler, Tommie Hearns and Sugar Ray Leonard all at higher than he started so I don't want to hear anything about where Mayweather started it's about where he is RIGHT NOW.

if you fight at 154 nobody at 154 is nobody is too big. if you can't fight people in the divison you should NEVER fight in it.

So according to you, Roy Jones is a dip**** for not fighting Lennox Lewis. I mean, he did jump up to heavyweight and snatch a heavyweight trinket from John Ruiz. And if you're big enough to fight one heavyweight, there's no such thing as another heavyweight being too big. That 5'10 light heavyweight Roy Jones is such a freaking coward for not challenging the 6'5 245lb Lewis. LOL!!!
