Would be a great matchup and would be the first time in MayweatherJrs career that he took a fight where he is not the overwhelming favorite. However, i doubt a Martinez vs Mayweahter Jr will ever happen when you consider Mayweather will not even get in the ring with PacMan. I expect a comment from the Mayweather camp that will explain that there is no need for Mayweather to fight Martinez because Sergio "Dont know chit about boxing", followed by a statement where Floyd is declared the winner without ever getting in the ring. Sergio is trying and i give him credit, but history has shown that Mayweather will only fight when his opponent has no chance of winning.

So Martinez just fought a cruiserweight at 160 and now you want him to fight another cruiserweight at 168? Considering he fought most of his career at 154 and has moved up to fight at 160, if he goes back down to 154, he would be "picking on smaller fighters"?

I think I'm probably missing some other important details because that logice doesn't make any sense.
Actually your logic doesn't make any sense. Whether Floyd fights Martinez at 154 or not, he's still the bigger fighter, so yes he is picking on a smaller fighter. Martinez started his career off at 147, Floyd started off at 130 so there's the logic right there. Second, Ward said Martinez is too small, but he didn't say he "wouldn't" fight him. Ward stated that he wouldn't be able to come down in weight, so he doubts the fight would happen because of that. Martinez hasn't fought at 154 in eight fights, so he's officially a middle weight. And to hell with him being a so called small middleweight. Him and his team made a big deal about having to come down to 157 to fight Paul Williams! Why? Because Martinez was 182, which is his normal walking around weight. So don't fall for the whole "he's too small" bull. So he fought Chavez who outweighed him, big woof he also had a guy who he was superior too as well. Why call out smaller fighters? And FYI Floyd has had only one fight at 154 and that was against Cotto. You could say two because he fought De La Hoya at 154, but Floyd didn't weight more than 150 for that fight. Actually he weighed in at 148. Cotto himself wasn't a natural 154lber, he was just in his 4th fight at the weight. And Martinez didn't fight half his career at 154, half of his career was fought at 147, which in either case he'd be the bigger fighter because Floyd started off at 130. And NO Martinez isn't a PPV draw, that was all Chavez and his name. That's why...Martinez is the Middle weight champ, why call out WW's and JWW's? He sounds like Terry Norris calling out smaller fighters.

This fight SHOULD be made, Martinez accepts Olympic drug testing, Martinez accepts less money as he did vs Chavez JR, Martinez will come down to 154 pounds the division Floyd just won a title at and he made a big issue about the fact that he was moving up in weight to face Cotto and he did the same with Oscar De la Hoya so hes comfortable at the weight that much is true no TopRank involved either no problem there ! This fight wont happen though and there is no excuse for it not to if it doesn't who should the blame fall on ??

Floyds only been to 154 twice and both fights were highly competitive. I think if Sergio comes to down to 154, to challenge Floyd for his WBA Super World Light Middleweight title, the weight will be an even agreement because Floyd fights at 147 and Maravilla fights at 160. But...I dont believe Sergio can outbox Floyd. Don't let the Chavez Jr fight fool you! Jr is a slow flat footed, defense lacking cruiserweight that drains himself to make weight then rehydrates to use his natural size against a smaller weightclass.

Floyd still has good speed, defense and has the ability to walk opponents down or fight off his back foot. Remember guys Martinez has had tough fights with lesser competition! Macklin and Barker did well against Sergio until they faded in the later rounds which seems to be when Floyd recharges...

Just saying don't get to confident in picking a winner just yet. This would be Sergio's toughest test at 38 years old!
