    It probably isn't.

Cotto is clearly looking for the money.
Who cares if cotto is looking for the money...boxing is his career. Floyd's been doing it for ages...

He is, its that simple whether you like it or not.

Take away Mayweather,Cotto, and Canelo (i don't know why) out of the equation Trout is a top 5 easily.I can even make an argument with Trout over Molina just because he's not a pressure fighter to bother Cotto stylistically in a fight,Trout presents more of a danger.

It matters because it's who he's choosing to fight for the money which I think will be Canelo rather than Martinez if he beats Trout.

Canelo is in his division and brings $$$

        I won't sweat it. It's a good fight.

I applaud Cotto for his honesty. Fanboys need to stop with the "My guy would fight anybody" BS. All fighters fight for checks.

lmao!! Seriously dude!! You're a cheerleader. I dislike Vanes and been a fan of Trout before his fight with Canelo's brother and I still wouldn't think he's top 10 atm.

FYI Trout is rated #10 on Ring magazine and not even ranked on ESPN. I may disagree because he should be like #8 or something but he's not top 5 even if he has been putting in decent work. Like I said before Floyd/Cotto/Canelo don't even deserve that #1/#2 spot either and they're just up there based on names.

So am I. Sergio should be fighting guys his own size if he's so tuff. Most guys Cotto's size don't want to fight Martinez. He's too big. fight GGG...people say he's fought nobody's...let's see!

Also, I'd like to see him fight Dirrel, Kessler...etc level of competition if he's so powerful. (Ward would embaress him).

i want to see Cotto-Trout-(decent record, bigger, young, hungry...etc.), then if he wins, fight Canelo. Then we go from there. If he fights Sergio, there will be a cw, and i don't want to see that.
