Comments Thread For: Arroyo Brothers and Bopp Win Big in Puerto Rico Bouts

McWilliams Arroyo picked up his 10th consecutive win with a seventh round knockout of Ronald Ramos in their main event Thursday evening in Carolina, Puerto Rico.

Arroyo controlled the action from the get go, playing up to the partisan crowd in his native Puerto Rico. Ramos traveled all the way from Colombia to play the willing role of challenger and looked every bit the part in their scheduled 12-round flyweight belt, with a regional title at stake.

Glad to see more prospects doing well, PR just reloads when it seems like they are out of champs!

McJoe is a bit better as a pro in my eyes, is more controlled and poised.

This kids have the talent to be showcasing ESPN cards and showtime cards already, hell by the standars they could be doing some HBO afterdark too, but the Rivera brother dont know shit on how to promote. They need to leave his ass and hit america.

The sa,e happpend to Rocky, the guy has the style to be a ticket comodity, but barely knowoen knows who he is.

the 3 most protected boxers in the WBO...the Arroyos have been boxing setup since the jump...turn it up...Bopp is good, but has fought in PR 2x vs nobodies, the rest of the time she hides out in A'tina.....how's this qualify as title bout vs Miranda, out of Hollywood, FL, not Orlando, she had 1 bout in 4 years & had lost her previous 4...this qualifies her?...Bopp needs 2 fight Esmeralda Moreno , or, get the guts & move up 2 fight, & lose vs Juarez...

Even though their record states otherwise, I always believed McJoe was the better amateur, while McWilliams is the better pro.

I always thought the latter sacrificed himself and went up in weight for his brother, McJoe has great hand speed which is the most effective am boxing element you can have, but because he was smaller than most of his opponents, he didnt have the same or better results as McWilliams.

At pro McWilliams is the better fighter, and is a heavy guy who will probably be chasing his opponents around the ring while McJoe is the better boxer of the two and the question for me is if he will be able to handle pressure fighters. I hope he at least goes for a belt at 115 before steeping up to 118 again.

I agree about the Rivera brothers. Pedraza was already on Showtime. Shaw and Dibella are doing a better job with Del Valle and Dulorme. The Arroyo need to leave that company. Fighting bums in PR wont help them develop.
