He did try to fight Kelvin Price, an old, but undefeated 6'7 240lb in shape HW who was the only man to beat a solid prospect in Tor Hamer. Unfortunately Price pulled out and Wilder fought Manswell.

Wilder definitely looks like he's trying to step up his competition.
