Floyd is always going to have this problem. Even if him and pac squared off and may won, the pac fans will say he was too big and manny isnt a natural WW.

And Floyd said this long ago. Everyone will say he was supposed to beat manny. He was never going to gain anything from that fight legacy wise. Not from his detractors at least.

Marquez was 148 on fight night for mayweather I believe, floyd wasn't unofficially weighed in but at 154 vs cotto he was 151 on fight night, somehow these 20lbs of magical weight to make floyd 168 seems absurd... hell floyd doesn't even walk around above 160 as far as I know.

Was a show by Mayweather who is better than JMM in every aspect of the sport...speed...power...reach...defense...accuracy ...ring generalship...ability to adjust... it was like another poster said... like a big brother playing with his little brother showing him how things work. Truly a show of its own. You can say 130lbs is JMMs weight but if floyd and jmm fought at 130 it would be a massacre imo, I'm not sure if you guys watched boxing when floyd fought at 130 but he was a beast there.

If you don't make weight, you don't get credit. It's that simple. If it wouldn't of made of difference, then why not JUST make the weight? didn't even have the sportsmanship to try to make it.

Pacquiao is the #1 ranked WW. Marquez was the RING LW champ. Floyd and Manny aren't that much different in size, Floyd has 1 1/2 inches on him and they both weigh around 147 or so on fight night.

Marquez went up to WW and arguably beat Manny. Floyd should get some credit for shutting him out there. Again, not his greatest win, but given what's happened since, it's a decent win.

His FIRST fight going up in weight against arguably the #1 p4p fighter, and let alone after Marquez comes up to his division, Floyd doesn't even bother to make weight, or doesn't even show respect to try and make it.

STop using triangle theories.

Manny/Marquez are still naturally smaller than FLoyd, twist it anyway you want to, it's a fact.

Marquez gets more respect simply because he doesn't give a shi!t IF Manny is on "A side Meth" with bullets bouncing off his a$$. He has enough confidence in himself to meet Manny in the ring, can't say the same about Floyd.

the only reason pacquiao (who is about the same size as marquez) has a chance against mayweather is because he is quicker than marquez and has some serious power in his left hand.

he's also much more durable against the punches of bigger man.
