It doesn't help that Martinez hasn't at the very least tried to establish himself at 154. Lara called him out too. Even then, I see no excuse as to why none of the three fighters I mentioned can't give him an opportunity.

I can agree with this. They are easy to fights to be made imo but I have a feeling that all DiBella side talk is going to bite him in the ass.

If he cant give Floyd or Cotto. Why not stay at 154 and fight Lara, Kirkland, Molina, etc

@Cigarillo, let's see what Team Martinez does if he DOESN'T get the 154lb fights. I'll be disappointed if he fights Jr. again, but I'm alright with guys like Geale/Golovkin and Martin Murray (coming off a year-ending win).

So you didn't go for Chavez to win & you didn't say that Cotto beats Martinez Burner??

That's been one of my biggest issues with Martinez, as much as I like Sergio he doesn't help his case and I'm of the opinion that making 154 would have absolutely no effect on him.

Andre Ward wont go to Martinez's weight class, Martinez will go to theirs. They have all held a title at 154, Martinez has never campaigned at 168...they aren't even comparable.

GGG's best win is Proska, a guy who lost to Kerry Hope. GGG isn't near the P4P list either, so that's a non-P4P fighter calling out the #2 P4P fighter....also not a comparable situation.

If he doesn't get the big fight, then those other guys are still there.

Im fine with him even staying at 154 pounds. Just stay there altogether and finish out your career there. There are some good fights that can be made.

In my gut though I think if Cotto beats Trout he'll fight Martinez at a CW for his MW title.

Martinez is calling out fighters who are on the P4P list along with him. I don't see how this is even remotely comparable, apart from to the people who dislike Sergio.
Yet if you mentioned the name Sergio Martinez to an average joe, they would think you were talking about a singer or a tennis player. The fact is he may be on the P4P list, but he is not a PPV star. he is highly respected in boxing circles, but that is it. Why should one of the 154lb PPV stars risk fighting him, or even give him the time of day since nobody knows him?

Dibella says Golovkin is a nobody right? Well maybe that is the way Floyd and Cotto view his fighter. That is the hypocrisy that Burner was talking about and it is also true.

Sergio has just come off a 500,000 PPV fight which he dominated.

Sure it was against a big name fighter, but these fights would be against even bigger names and would do bigger numbers. Anybody fighting Sergio would make major money. Sergio is also becoming a big name, not just in boxing circles.

GGG on the other hand, is completely unknown and has never had a fight worth talking about let alone a major one. GGG and Sergio are nowhere near one another interms of marketability, achievement, ability....

I find it funny that this guy Cigarillo is over here talking about hypocrites. Isnt he the same one whos in favor of Canelo vs Cotto/Mayweather? So if Martinez doesnt deserve a shot at those guys wtf has Canelo done to deserve a shot at Cotto or Mayweather? Please do these people a favor and dont bring the radio show back. Save everyone from a headache from listening to your ******ity. If you cant keep your bias to the side you dont deserve to be doing a so called radio show.

The night Martinez fought Chavez all you did was whine about how Martinez was running all night and wasnt even sitting on his punches. Well guess what? That runner KOed Williams in 1 shot and broke Chavez Jr's face. He won the fight and you lost your money. Deal with it playa.
