I think it'll go to Martinez again.

Any chance Mayweather fights in Decemeber?

Trout is a canidate is he somehow dominates Cotto (don't see it though)

    Donaire is possible as well.

Salido too, but I don't think he beats Garica.

No fighter really had two or more great wins this year.

Andre Ward. The guy's being discredited for how thoroughly he beat Dawson. Huge win.

I'm not sure at all. Good shout on Salido, if he beats Garcia.
If Donaire beats Nishioka in top form, he'll have a real good case. Three top ten wins in his division, of escalating impression, would stand out a bit in a year of solos.

Sergio Martinez is in the lead now.

I don't understand why Danny Garcia is a candidate. This Morales fight is really weak. There's really no reason for a rematch; Morales was beaten justly.

Sergio Martinez I think will win, Danny Garcia would have won if he had fought anyone other than a Morales rematch but unfortunately he had signed a rematch clause. Ward would be the wild card but he only fought once and although a great win (Dawson coming off beating Hopkins) he had a really inactive year. Donaire could win it depending on how he beats Nishioka.

I think Pacquiao would deserve it if he wins big over Marquez but Marquez might get it if he can win big. I don't think a close fight would win it for either guy. Canelo fights in December so a ko win over someone like Kirkland might put him in the running. A big win for Trout might win it. Martinez, Ward, Garcia, Matthysse and probably some others could all win it. Sometimes one great win is enough to win it and Garcia has a chance to back up his win with another good win. Even Broner or Demarco could win it with a ko win. There are too many important fights left in 2012 to pick a winner now.

this was actually the ****tiest year for boxing with all the delays, injuries and postponements

there simply is no clear pick at this point because most fighters havent fought enough

I think Donaire may get it, if he dominates Nishioka. Either him or Sergio Martinez. If Danny Garcia would have fought a good fight instead of Morales again, he would have had a shot.
