I think its too early for a rematch with 175. I'd rather see Dawson avenge the loss to Jean Pascal before going after Ward again. Ward is moving up in weight and Dawson is king at 175 so its natural that the two will cross paths again down the road.

Cant argue with that at all...if there is a rematch we have to build up to it in a big way...

I guess it's all part of the game. You always hear it from other people.

I also think Dawson beats Pascal in a rematch. The stoppage was BS IMO and Chad was on his way to a W.

I DEFINITELY thought so, too...Pascal fought a very good fight and did what he had to do, ALL credit to him...but I truly believe he wasnt getting out of that round...

Chad let me down in that fight. First time I watched him he made me a fan. Then I gathered some people up to watch Dawson-Pascal and he made me look bad . But now that I think about it every time I gather people up to watch some of my fighters they tend to disappoint for whatever reason. Maybe I should stop doing that.

I have my doubts that Pascal makes it past Cloud tho. He's been inactive way too long. I don't think he's dedicated to the game.

Pascal might not be an easy fight either. When do you think he might want to go for that?

I guess him and Cloud both have fights coming up? I guess we gotta' see how that plays out first but I would assume that HBO would look for these fights ASAP? We will see soon, I guess....

IceMan, what do you feel was Chad's biggest mistake in that fight with Ward?..did he underestimate Ward's punching power coming in to the fight?

I think...Ill tell u something...boxing can be a crazy game sometimes..Ward is the type of guy, u see them every once in a while, when u watch him he doesnt do things that are OBVIOUSLY great, his skills dont really jump out at you like a Roy Jones or a Ray Leonard, etc...he's subtle and effective and consistent...we kept saying before the fight, dont underestimate this guy and I dont think Chad did that...but by the same token I think Ward is the type of guy you'd have to be in the ring with him to fully appreciate him...like, by a smaller comparison, I remember boxing a couple guys back in the day and when I watched them I didnt see power, speed, etc...but then u get in with them and its like WOW, this guy is MUCH more than he appears to be on the surface...Chad said on TV that Ward was much faster than he looked on TV and that's a huge thing to a boxer because the difference in speed that you are used to can cause major troubles...if you're used to hitting off a 80 MPH fastball thrower and then u get in with a 102 MPH guy, u may never get used to him and even if u do it certainly wont be right away...and, again, NO EXCUSES, just reality/facts, losing weight in a fashion that u didnt expect to have to can magnify those differences in a huge way...Ward doesnt exactly need help to win fights so/but if u give him added advantages its like a no win situation...

It was shocking to me seeing Dawson get hurt by a naturally smaller guy and that was when I knew the weight played a massive part in the outcome of this fight. Ward is a solid puncher, but you have to look at the guys Dawson has been in with and say that if he was fighting healthy, Ward's power wouldn't have had that much of an effect and Dawson could have fought on a more even keel.
All game plans go out the window when a normally solid, but unspectacular puncher is hurting the naturally bigger man. It's a big adjustment to make let alone the fact that Dawson looked like he was out of gas fairly early on - again a symptom of the weight loss. I think Ward beats Dawson at any weight, but no way is Ward whitewashing him like he did if Dawson comes into the ring at 90-95%.
