So....Kell Brook has a fight, was given plenty to think about when he struggled against a fringe contender. What should he do? Yes, take a title fight! Don't re-assess, and work on a few things after finding out you're not maybe as good as you thought. Risk all your hard work and years of sacrifice (that internet dweebs like myself know nothing about) and make a possible rash move.

You'll be comfortable knowing that if you fail (like so-called boxing fans are waiting for you to do) you will be written off and will have given people who haven't stepped in a boxing ring (again, like myself) a chance to say: "I told you so". Yep, Kell Brook is crazy.

Seriously, after reading some of this, I think Roy Jones Jr should look at more than just crappy commentators if he ever got to change boxing.

So in boxing you have to win a title first then after that you have to prove you deserve it??? WTF is that? How about you have to prove you deserve to be champion first by beating the man(Bradley)? If he cant beat Bradley then he dont deserve to be champion, and there is no shame in losing to bradley(who just beat Pacman). But I guess he wants to be a second rate titlist(not a true champion) and go the way he's going now.

If there was only 1 world champion per division, then what you said would be correct. However, there isn't and fighting Devon Alexander is hardly an easy belt for Brook.

        Bradley is not the man.

Also, you're taking my quote out of context. He's not relevant until he holds a title and when he does, he better prove he deserves it ala what Cleverly isn't doing.

In this day and age there are multiple world champions in a division, which I don't like. However, as long as he's fighting the best contenders and fellow champions - can't complain much.

              Agree with this.

I'm not sure what the right move is here to be frank. Part of me thinks he should take the title shot while he can in case he loses the eliminator. The other part of me doesn't blame him for wanting to gain some negotiating leverage. I don't know. Tough call.

He is a hype job - what are you trying to say, that he's not? He just proved it......

Brook is on the right path now he's with Matchroom, he'll be losing that 0 soon enough.
How is it a dumb move when he's been given a title shot, whereas he chooses to go thru an eliminator to get to a title shot? *scratches head*......

LOL @ visual sedative, but all that before that: doesn't being an undefeated champion count for anything?

Yes it does - it shows if he's ready for prime time, which obviously, he's not....

should be wanting to fight the best. he has had several fights, its time to step it up.

Brook is probably the furthest thing on Hatton's mind right about now.

It's not a good fight. If Brook lasts a round, it'd be a farce. Just forget about Brook until he becomes relevant, who cares what he does until he wins that world title. But once he has it, he sure as hell better prove that he deserves it.
He won't ever become relevant - and he just passed on a world title shot to fight in an eliminator to fight for a title shot that he might not win. He just proved that he's a pu$$y.......

I take it when you were scratching your head you were trying to find your brain?

Fight Bradley for the WBO belt or Alexander for the IBF.

Hmm, I wonder which is the better option...

By the way, it was Hearn who declined the Bradley fight in August citing that the work they've done with Brook is not worth throwing away.
