the only ones that rate manny higher is the *******s anyways... they are close but I gotta give Floyd the edge as well, but again like you said, who gives a shat where someone rates a fighter on the ATG List.

This fight will never happen until they are both past it, because we fans are being tricked into believeing it will happen each time they fight... they are both playing us by having us believe it will happen only to build up their BS fights they have fought the last 3 years... both of them can go suck nuts.... Nonito can be the new Manny and Broner can take over for his idol.... I call this "the circle of life"!!

So even when the surest of sure things leaps out of sporting woodwork and screams, “Hey Lyle, bet on me, you can’t lose,” I’m far more likely to ignore the nudge and drop a misguided $20 on the off-chance that the New York Jets will actually win a Super Bowl at least once before I die.

As I said, I’m loyal to a fault… but not very smart.

Still, when it comes to boxing, I think I might be about ready to change my record.

Thanks to my old pal, Manny Pacquiao.

I’m sure the Filipino belt-collector had no idea the other day – as he made the studio rounds at the preeminent four-lettered basic cable sports empire in Connecticut – that he was all but ensuring a nice pre-Christmas largesse for his favorite boxing journalism nemesis.

(OK, c’mon, let’s be realistic here. Manny wouldn’t know me from Adam, but it sounds a lot better to call yourself someone’s nemesis than it does to admit that they’re completely unaware of your existence. And hey, if that offends the message-board purists among us… sue me.)

Anyway, the more Manny spoke *******ly about the possibility that he’d agree fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. in the foreseeable future – from allowing his foe to make more cash, to confirming that he’s OK with the idea of extensive blood tests – the more he essentially guaranteed it’ll never actually happen. I have no idea why you would stake ruining your writing reputation just to defend a guy whom every single adult person on earth knows is the one who held up the fight.

What is Arum got to do with Mayweather's unprecedented stringent testing demand? What is Arum got to do with Mayweather's wanting 100% PPV? What is Arum got to do with Floyd not thinking about boxing and taking long vacations?

What exactly do you get defending this undeserving guy who rarely fights?

His best friend 50cent has distanced himself and is obviously pissed at Mayweather's ducking behavior. Sooner or later more details will come out. 50 cent was there, firsthand.

Really>??? Take a poll on that... Most fans and historians and hardcore fans without bias will easily rate Pac over Floyd in a ATG list. That is an easy call..

                Ask yourselves this...

After all of this, does anyone really expect this to be the fight of the century?

If the fight resembles anything close to the Floyd vs De La Hoya fight as far as excitement, holy **** Boxing will never hear the end of it.

"Mayweather is scared of Pacquiao" YAWN
                  "Mayweather is a coward" YAWN
                  "Mayweather should retire" YAWN
"I'm not buying this fight" YAWN
                  "I don't care about these 2" YAWN
The fact is why would either guy risk ruining their "legacy" when morons keep buying fights like Pacquiao vs Marquez 4???!!!!!????
Boxing is business. End of. If you can make 20,30,40 millions dollars fighting anyone, why risk getting beat and being forever remembered as the number 2 guy. People talk about Hagler,Duran, Ali, Foreman, Liston all "not being afraid to fight each other" THAT'S BECAUSE THOSE FIGHTS WERE THE ONLY WAY TO MAKE HALF DECENT MONEY. That'snot the case anymore.
Don't wanna see Pac vs Marquez 4????? DON'T BUY IT. That will stop them makin $h!t fights quicker than you can say "temporary Vegas stadium"

Manny will never fight Floyd until he beats Marquez convincingly, then this will give his handlers the confidence to put him in the ring with Floyd. Other than that, every time the prospect of a fight between the two comes up, he (Manny ) will always opt for some type of measuring stick.

Wake-up, ppl, he's using Marquez to try and ready himself for Mayweather. Marquez is their measuring stick.

Look at the kind of fans Mayweather have? You're better off not getting involved in these discussions with these kinds of people if you're a normal person.

It's all over the news that 50cent, Floyd's best friend, attempted to make the fight happen. Who would best represent Floyd than a best friend? Floyd once again expressed ZERO interest in the fight.

Yet look at his remaining ****riders... You won't be surprised why Floyd is still Floyd after all these years. He's still surrounded by clowns.
