I think Steward is asking for prayers because its at a serious stage right now, he already had surgery, and all they can do is hope and pray for the best

prayer services are normally issued by doctors when they have done all they can and the disease or illness is at an extreme stage and they only thing they can do right now is wait on the recovery.

I just hope he is okay, but it seems serious because of the prayer service and nobody is talking when asked about his disease or illness.

I pray he gets well. I had a chance to interview Emanuel 25 times, and he is such a nice man. As far as legends go, he is in a class of his own. I believe he will get better, as he has to. Boxing needs Emanuel Steward, as he is a true ambassador to our sport.
