Exactely - but the prime Vitali also doesn't exist any more. Vitali's last two fights were terrible, Adamek was his last semi-decent win. Vitali would likely have KOed Haye ~4 years ago, today he would get beaten due to the obvious loss of speed and power caused by age, and I think he knows that himself.

Tell me, would you really find it worthwhile watching a faded champ being beaten by someone 10 years his junior? What do you get out of it?

I think Vitali should retire today, and Wladimir and Haye should fight for the WBC belt. Since you believe that Haye would beat Wlad due to the learning effect, and also considering that Wlad is still in his (late) prime, you should find this fight more interesting than Haye vs. Vitali.
