Comments Thread For: Jorge Arce Eyes Next Ring Return on December 8th

Former four division world champion Jorge Arce (61-6, 46KOs) is looking to return to the ring on December 8th. He fought on Saturday night in Los Mochis, winning a ten round unanimous decision over Mauricio Martinez (37-13, 24KOs). Arce has already fought three times in 2012, knocking out Lorenzo Parra in February and fighting to a no decision with Jesus Rojas in June. Arce prefers to face the winner of Nonito Donaire-Toshiaki Nishioka, taking place on October 13, but there probably won't be enough time to make such a match for Arce's planned December return.

I'd love to see Arce vs Rigo on the Pac undercard. Arce wouldn't take that fight though, because he'll be fighting the Donaire/Nishioka winner next year.

He's giving up a lot of size, but I'd rather see him fight Martinez than another bum. It's a legacy fight for him.

Arce does not need to give a payday to a guy who hit him with 3 illegal blows in a row. Rojas can go back to obscurity where he belongs pulling that crap. The dude was beaten by Beranza.
