JAMES DeGALE hopes boxing on Channel 5 will help put his career back in the limelight as he targets Carl Froch.

The 2008 Olympic gold medal winner admits he has lost momentum by boxing just once in the last year but has joined new promoter Mick Hennessy with his fights being screened live on Channel 5.

The Londoner makes a second defence of his European super-middleweight title in Kent on October 13 after his contractual dispute with former promoter Frank Warren kept him out of the ring.

What is this guy doing with his career this is a bad move for Degale, Mick Hennessy is a poor promoter people can say what they want about Frank but he will get big fights, in Britain he is the best in the business.

Warren is being suffocated by the size of his stable and as bad as a promoter Hennessy is, this is the right move for DeGale. Hennessy, somehow, has a deal going with C5 and he'll get exposure alongside Fury & Eubank Jr. Possible Eubank Jr-DeGale fight might happen down the line but at least DeGale gets exposure to the general public.

I hope Warren loses a few more of his good prospects to other promoters, the progression for some of them is abysmal.

DeGale should go for a Groves rematch, than maybe someone like Abraham.

I don't think DeGale-Groves should be made again just yet. Wait until one of them wins a world title and then make the fight.

A year and a half ago, all the British fans were claiming this guy was gonna beat Andre Ward! Too funny!
