    Kronk boxing gym: detroit

Well this will be my first post on this forum and it's about the kronk gym im hoping to join. My dilema is I called the phone number on the website, detroit gym, and that directed me to the headquarters. So then i get the right number from them for the boxing gym and call thursday, no anwser so i say maybe its the wrong number so i drive down there and see a sign saying boxing gym closed due to wheather. Call everyday in between, same thing, today is monday. My concern is that the gym is not closed for good. Anyways since i know some people on this board attend Kronks i would like to get some feedback from you guys. Have you gone latley? and is the correct number for the gym in detroit (313)894-0796 ?

thanks for your help in advance and i hope this is the correct location to post this.

the website is not in good shape and there is a lot of politics going on witht the kronk right now as kwame is cutting funds for city athletic programs. i will be down town tommorow for the wings game and i will see if i can find out more.

If my understanding of the situation is correct (I haven't read a lot about it)... The City of Detroit funded the Kronk, as well as several other gyms and in order to save money they'll no longer be spending tax dollars keeping them open. Supposedly the Kronk will be open with Manny as an owner and whatnot, but I can't guarantee that.
