The story on boxing scene said his trainer wanted him to train at 2000 ft. so I am sure he will train on the island since there are hills that high there. I got a laugh out of the story because all my research on high altitude training says 2000 ft. is not high enough to make any real difference. You need to train at 4000 ft for a noticeable benefit and 6000 to 8000 feet is much better. I live in New Mexico at 7500 feet and the whole state is over 3000 feet. Trout lives at 4000 feet and there are places he can train at 6000 feet 20 miles or so from his home. I think Trout is going to beat that lowlander Cotto.

Likely in Colorado. His camp plans on 4-6 weeks there from what I hear.

Cotto will be ready. This is the new Cotto!

Research suggests training at altitude has little benefit due to not being able to train as much due to less O2.

Better off living high training low.
