Why shouldnt K9 be paid? Hes 39 and hes worked and slaved for table scraps. Hes only has a couple of fights left and all he has to offer is that IBF title. So hes gonna hold that title the way I hold my d1ck and I dont blame him. So some promotional company pays him off for that title. He will be fed to some younger fighter with promise. Then hell either be put on the shelf or his contract will be bought out for pennies on the dollar. K9 could retire with alittle money, his title goes to someone of note. Whats wrong with that?

It's not like guys are trying to skip the line to get a shot at K9, he's not in demand. I know his age must be taken into consideration. But dayum, fighting Sechew Powell and Cory Spinks twice in his last three fights? The other problem is that he barely fights (which could be blamed on his manager/promoter). It would not be smart for K9 to price himself out. If they offer him 500 grand, take it and train your hardest to knock Canelo the fuck out. Do that, and you get your fight against Cotto for even more $$$.

Remember that the title he holds is worthless because WBC doesn't allow unifications anymore. It's not gonna hold any weight in negotiations, so he'll probably get offered less than 500 grand.

If he fights Canelo hell be forced to surrender his title anyway. The key is Showtime and Corona love Canelo so the money will be there. 500 g's is more than fair and no way K9 passes on that. Lopez made way less than that and theres other fighters out there that will fight for less.
