    Danny Williams vs. Matt Skelton!!!

What does Skelton bring to the table. I've never seen him fight. I'm definitely pulling for Williams though. He's one of the guys really helping boxing out right now fighting good competition and frequently. He's giving all the British fans what they want. You gotta believe the dude's retiring soon as he loses, so let's hope his last run for a title is memorable.

I'd also like to take this time to point out once again why 2006 is gonna be the best year in boxing EVER.

    January - Judah-Baldomir *
    - Mormeck-Bell ****
    - Gatti-Daamgard ***
    - Tua-Brock ***
    - Morales-Pacquiao II *****

    February - Chavez-Barrera *****
    - Corrales-Castillo III *****
    - Williams-Skelton ***
    - Valuev-Golota **

    March - Rahman-Toney ****
    - Calzaghe-Lacy ****

    April - Judah-Mayweather *****

Also to be announced: Tyson-Tarver maybe!

And just think Hatton's gonna be fighting big fights, probably against Gatti or Cotto. Taylor and Wright will probably throw down in April. I'm probably forgetting stuff too.

You left out the Golden Boy's fights: Vargas vs Mosely, MAB vs Chavez, and De La Hoya vs Mayorga.

Sorry but I'm more interested in seeing Tua-Brock than Vargas and Mosley throw down. Yes, I think they've fallen THAT far.

This is an intreguing matchup because both guys are big punchers and are top British heavyweights. Hopefully, we'll get a bout which resembles the Foreman-Lyle fight.

The winner of this is likely to get some exposure and hopefully get a fight with a top contender in the division.

          Punch - Williams
Chin - (so far, at the level he's fought at) Skelton
Skill - Williams (by far, Skelton is the UK version of Ruiz... sort of)
Will to Win - Skelton (he loves being in the ring, where Danny's a screw head)
Stamina - Skelton (now... Danny's past his best)

This will either be a pick 'em or Danny will expose Skelton. Wouldn't surprise me if Skelton won.

This is a horrible mismatch if Williams comes in anywhere near his best, Williams would be just far too good for him.

However, I'm putting my money on Skelton.

I can forsee Skelton doing his leaning tactics and Danny losing concentration and going into himself as we've seen so many times before.

Having said that, I agree, it does appear that Skelton is the sort of fighter that prime Danny would have disposed of within five rounds.

Make no mistake about it, Frank Warren desperately wants Skelton to win. Warren has never been fond of Williams, never even rated him. Williams doesn't need Warren, he would of done better without him.

Wouldn't be surprised to Danny Williams just clubbed to death (Skelton can't punch but man can he club his opponents!). Williams technically should out match Skelton but we all know how unpredictable heavyweight boxing is.
