Real recognize real at least real boxing fans love and recognize Matysse! I still remember Martinez pulling horrible numbers... look at Mah man Martinez now!!!Comment

Alexander-Bailey was the main event. Matthysse was in the under card and was upgraded when the main event was canceled. This just is more evidence proving that unless you are a superstar, you have no business headling boxing events in Las Vegas. I'll never understand why promoters just put fighters that don't have followings in casinos, where most of the tickets end up getting comped. GBP has a heck of a talent in Matthysse and instead of actually trying to build their figther's "brand", they'd rather just have him fight in front of high rollers who have no idea who the fck he is, on top of not paying to see him, instead of actual fans who pay for their tickets.Comment

The timing of the fight was not good either. A relative small card a week before two large cards are coming into play in the same city. It will get over shadowed easily.
Little things like that will affect how a card sells. Many will simply step over it to see a bigger card.Comment

LOL @ all the fans from other 140 lbs fighters trying to discredit Matthyse because of the low ticket sales. Fact is he's the best Jr. Welterweight in boxing!!!!Comment

Please, I like Ricky as a fighter and a person, but he is your typical british fighter that gets a lot of press. The minute he stepped it up he lost (that includes that Collazo robbery). I wish he stood retired cause his style is face first and once he is not allow to wrestle he takes too much punishmentSurely Matthysse would do better numbers in Argentina? 377 is terrible for a boxer of his calibre. Perhaps if he hadn't been robbed against Judah and Alexander he would have more appeal in the US. Bent judges cost fighters money.
Hatton's a 4-time world champ, he didn't magically get that following.Comment

hate to hear that. I was REALLY surprised though when they originally announced those numbers. damn.Comment
