Nobody knows who wins the fight until it actually takes place. I do not suscribe to the belief that Floyd steamrolls Pacquiao though. Not even now. The shot Floyd was getting tagged with against Cotto was the left hand, and Pacquiao has a doozy of a left hand. I will say this though, if Floyd and Manny fight, I absolutely think the fight ends in a KO for one of the two. I still want to see it. Call me a glutton for punishment.

If you see the video (there is a thread around with it) and hear what Marquez says, he means defensively. He use the word defense but he means defensively, that is why the writer of the article put it in brackets. The writer also omits that JMM says that Pac hits harder.

pacquiao: "I think Hatton hit him a lot"

Ricky: "I remember the next day thinking how hard it was to hit Floyd. You can throw confetti in the air and not hit him."

Oscar lost 8 rounds to 4, at junior middle, people just made a big deal because floyd hardly ever lost rounds.

There was some awkwardness in the early rounds in the hatton fight due to hattons foot speed but hatton was not effective at all and floyd handled him easily. If you look at what troubles floyd consistently, its a good jab and a good defense. Zab had it, Oscar had it and a solid defense that fight, Cotto concentrated on defense as well and mayweather landed less than usual.

Guys like Winky and Hearns would beat Floyd. Pac doesnt have anything that bothers floyd. People can bring up Castillo all they want but if pressure was such an amazing key to beating floyd, castillo would have been able to do it again. Maybe a broken hand had more to do with it the first fight.

Guys like Hatton and Ortiz say theyll just pressure floyd to the ropes but once they get him there they cant land ****.
Hatton koed in 2 ortiz would collapsed in 1 and what r u trying to say again? Lol

He is fighting more aggressively than he used to in his past 3 fights so yes he may have been hit a lil more than before. If u saw Floyd's sparring session before the the cotto fight, he fought just like he sparred: chilled on the ropes and countered. That was by design. The only punch cotto could hit him with consistently was the jab when which people have always said is Floyd's weakness. Floyd even had his hands down when cotto landed it good. Even With Floyd in his face cotto's connect percentage was still low. Floyd ain't gonna use that roll as much against manny. After Mosley landed his big shot, u saw that left hand guarding his head more. He adjusts and takes away your strength. I want Floyd to go to war and try to knock manny out but he probably won't. You'll see more of the younger Floyd. Like Marquez said, manny chases and loses.
Yes and Ali decided to take punches like he did by design... You mean to tell me if Ali still had the legs that he did he wouldn't have fought Fraizer and Foreman the same way he did Liston and Cleveland Williams??? He adapted and his heart and chin carried him to greatness... It was not by design that Floyd changed his style... He has no choice, he's getting older the same with PAC... The difference is Power Punchers and Sluggers can have success later in the careers more so than boxers... IE George Foreman. At this stage in their careers Pac's power carries the day... Ali was the greatest but yet he couldn't beat father time... Floyd is human his legs are gone and his reflexes are slowing...
