PLEASE EDUCATE ME: Can Chavez, Jr Just Go Fight In Mexico?

Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr will LIKELY be seriously fined and have his license suspended for a year. Or more.

If your license is suspended by one commission, then other commissions honor that. BUT, I believe that is domestic. Right?

Is there anything stopping 'Juicio' from staging a big event in Mexico City?

    Thanks.

Of course he can. There's no reason for Mexico to follow any us ban on him fighting.

...and hopefully he'll just stay and continue bashing in tomato cans, out of the limelight of REAL boxing news.

Consigned. He should just become a national amusement rather than trying to be a serious boxing competitor.

He can fight in Mexico. The same issue arise with Margarito but he decided not to fight to honor the commission. He waited a year and came back. WBC most likely will have him a silver or diamond belt for when he comes back. Probably we wont see him fight in Vegas for a while.

Where exactly is "argentia?" Is that the mythical land of paper champs, tomato cans, taxi drivers, mushahadeen, and his pathetic Kool-Aid chugging followers?

And pray tell, how exactly did you decide that I am not a "real" boxing fan? Perhaps you judged me from my low post count? How does having an opinion classify me as a "fake" boxing fan? What the hell is a "fake" boxing fan anyway? Does that make me a fan of MMA? Do I only pretend to like it because it's the cool thing to do?

Right, because real boxing fans support paper champs, champs that come in as cruiserweights to beat middleweights. Champs that test positive for banned substances TWICE (albeit this last one is just a joke) and skip out on testing on other occasions. Champs that request smaller ring sizes because they don't have the skills to cut off their opponents in a standard sized ring. Ex-champs that don't pay respect to the new champ for winning fair and square.

But don't let me, the "fake" boxing fan, stop you...there's plenty of Kool-Aid left to be dumped down your throat.

Yeah, champ. I do think that he will get about a year.

Two dirty tests plus a DUI?

Yep. nine months to a year. Bookmark this.

It depends on if he ever wants to fight in the US again, it is a terrible look to circumvent punishment that way since they never have to give him a license again. He could go that route though but it would probably be a bad idea.

Since he has some pretty serious injuries he should just take him lumps recover fully, then once he recovers get in the gym maybe with a new trainer and work on his game which he could really benefit from.
