It's the same thing that happened to Brock Lesnar. The guy never really recovered from it. The thing about Lesnar was that his entire diet consisted of only red meat. Best of luck to Steward to fight this thing! I hope he comes back 200%.

I hope it's really just diverticulosis (which can be painful, but is otherwise quite harmless, unless there is additional inflammation).

I'm not convinced though, because the statement by his sister that he had a "nervous stomach, which turned into diverticulosis" is total nonsense from a medical point of view.

If it does turn out to be colon cancer, and he is actually receiving POST-surgery chemotherapy, then that's not a good sign, because it usually means that there are metastases.
