I've been stood with a Scottish mate & an American has said "Ha, I thought Brits & Scots didn't get along". I've tried maps, diagrams, blackboards, fancy computer presentations but they do not understand the whole, British, English, Scottish, Welsh, Irish thing.
Growing up in London the only people I didn't like were Upper Class Twits. Since moving to America I've discovered I'm meant to dislike everyone. Including my mum as she's a Paddy.
*If you are American & DO get it well done.

In most cases, it seems to stem from what team people support right enough.
Really looking forward to the fight now, one day to go.

Most Scots consider themselves Scots and not British. The only ones that consistently don't, tend to be protestant Glaswegians who have to keep up their whole sectarian loyalty to the Queen.
For those Americans who don't understand - The west coast of Scotland is divided by religion. Catholics and Protestants. As you'll notice the above posters name contains "RFC" thus referring to Rangers Football Club (The protestant club) and therefore he considers himself British. I'm not knocking GMC, it's just the way it is unfortunately. It pretty defines how they live their lives. On the west coast your religion decides everything from your political stance to where you stay and what team you support.
The rest of Scotland looks upon the sectarian divide with shame.
My political stance is I don't mind being part of the UK however I hate the fact that some Oxford educated English toff can decide laws and taxes in my country when he has never even visited it. I would happy to remain part of the union but let us have full political control to decide taxes/laws etc.
Back to the fight! I can't bloody wait. First row of the floor seats this time so should have a cracking view. Burns by UD or SD. No trip to the states for Burns either, it will be Harrison next if all goes to plan for FW.
