    Mexican TV ratings are in

    18 million viewers for Canelo
    16 million for Chavez

Overall 70% of the country watched boxing at the same time but ratings were clearly hurt by the head to header. Also Chavez fights on a smaler network and his numbers have always been smaller than Canelo's.

pssssst, Boxing is dying don't you know?!?!?!?!?!?

I thought everyone knew Boxing was dead. When America have another heavyweight it will be alive again, but not before that time.

About 35 million watched combined. Had these fights been on at different times they would have beaten JMM-Pac 4.

I don't know where he's getting the actual number of viewers from, but I'm positive he's wrong. I'm pretty sure he's doing some fcked up math with the points received. Boxing Tribute is generally a bad website.

It would make sense though. If 37 million is the biggest rating for a boxing match in Mexico there's no way you're going to repeat that number with two huge fights on at the same time.

How many mexicans were fighting on the Chavez/Martinez card? Canelo had Santa Cruz, Gonzalez and Ponce De Leon on his card.

I can't believe more Mexicans chose to watch ginger fight a JWW rather than Chavez Jr in a middleweight title fight with a top P4P fighter.

It's no wonder why GBP keeps putting him in with over-matched opposition, people will always tune in to see the "Baby Boy of Golden Boy".
