It is? Hmm let's see, Martinez-Chavez exceeded expectations with 600K buys but didn't overperform a Floyd or Pacquiao PPV.Originally posted by Gino RosQuote:

Who overpeformed or who exceeded expectations?

Overperforming and "exceeding expectations" is the exact same thing.
WTF is wrong with you?
Tom Brady was drafted in the 98th round. He has overperformed. he has exceeded expectations.

See, this is what you don't understand. And I can't figure if you are trolling... or you are serious.
Over or underperforming isn't a comparison with some external comparison. It is a comparison vs your own standard or expectation.
For example:
If you draft a running back in the first round, you EXPECT that guy to be a 1,000 yard back. If he runs for 480 yards, he has underperformed. Get it? Not compared to Adrian Peterson or Stephen Jackson or whoever... but vs what the team expected of him, and what he (should have) expected of himself. Get it?
Now, you keep claiming that 600K number, and I'm willing to bet many, many points - or a self-imposed ban - that this Arum number is complete bollocks.
That is a typical Arum move. Claim some high number immediately after the fight, media picks up on it, the real numbers don't get released, and simp fans parrot that Arum fable like it's gospel.
I will bet you that the official number is below 600K.... or NOT released. Wanna bet?Comment

The truth is that at least $10 million net income from U.S. tv alone was realized by Chavez-Martinez while Alvarez-Lopez was probably less than a quarter of that. Gate numbers also reflect what generated more.
It's plain to see what was the bigger success no matter what way you try to spin it.
HBO wouldn't jump for joy generating what it's baby brother generates. 1.036 million viewers on HBO is pretty ****ty.Comment
