Comments Thread For: Chavez Sr. Not Happy With Jr.'s Camp, Talks Rematch

The legenday Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. is not happy with the way his son, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., handled his training camp for last Saturday's fight against Sergio Martinez at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

Chavez Jr. skipped several days of training and often stayed away from the gym. Instead he trained in the livingroom of his rented home in Las Vegas.

It doesnt matter how hard he trained or practice, he jsut doesnt have the skills to beat sergio. He only got size and power on his side.

Theres nothing JR. Could have done to win it.

this is just a learning experience for chavez jr. he should be able to fully comprehend what he did wrong and fix his mistakes. only reason i'd be down to see a rematch is to see martinez get paid. otherwise, i suggest chavez jr moves up. he can have good fights at 168 with guys like pavlik, abraham, and froch. become a multi divisional champ and stuff.

JR needs to stop pretending that he has everything figured out, and actually start listening to all the people around him who try to help him.
