I just read on ESPN, the Matthysse/Ajose card sold a gate of just over $200k. I was impressed.

For that particular fight I was surprised, and impressed. Matthysse is my favorite fighter in the game right now though, so it is reasonable to believe he has many more fans that are willing to go out and pay to see him fight. I hope to see him get a big payday in the not too distant future. He is a warrior and makes great fights.

They should have planned ahead and made it Friday night. Since when was August considered the end of the year. They usually go into October if I am not mistaken. But closing out the year in August is pathetic. Glad HBO, Showtime, Telefutura, and others don't consider August the end of the season. They lost momentum with a special addition on a Thursday after they claimed the season was over.

Top Rank couldn't do Friday; the commission wouldn't allow it.

Looks like Top Rank paid for a Cadillac and got a lemon.

Good to see NSB consistently posting financial-related data. It is very important, and exerts a great influence on the in-ring product.
