Comments Thread For: Team Golovkin Open To Martinez, Pirog, Quillin, Geale

Gennady Golovkin will attend the Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.-Sergio Martinez fight Saturday night in Las Vegas.

It’s no secret the unbeaten Golovkin wants to fight the winner in what would be a very intriguing middleweight championship unification fight, no matter who wins. Daniel Geale also will sit ringside for the Chavez-Martinez match at MGM Grand.

If archived news is going to be updated and reused, update ALL OF IT.

I love Golovkin, but Martinez is 37 and needs to think about himself and his nest egg now. Martinez/Floyd for all the marbles.

Quillin has been looking for a big fight. I know he turned it down as a replacement, but I wonder if he would fight GG?

That seems like a good fight. Both are really good, but neither have enough big wins to really get the more famous guys' attention.

          Golovkin-Pirog is most likely.

Martinez got less than 2 million in the Chavez fight while Chavez collected 3. Martinez can make WAY more than that now, but not against GGG. Fighting Floyd was make him a **** basket of money, and the dude does not have that much time in the game left, so it's time to strike while the iron is hot. He is 37 and suffered 2 injuries Saturday night. The proof is in the pudding.

A fight with Geale or Pirog looks like the most realistic option at the moment

I'd like to see Martinez fight Golovkin, Quillin/N'Jikam fight Pirog, and Geale fight Macklin.

                Macklin would beat Daniel Geale.

He'll get offered again, but I bet the WBO will put up the ultimatum again and he'll go with the belt
