11-1 with his hands at his waist for a majority of it. That's begging to get KO'd and Chavez couldn't do it. Even when he close and inside when you can't really react and have to have a pro active defense Chavez couldn't do ****.

Martinez did not run at all, he outboxed Jr. easily and even when he decided to stay on the ropes and trade, Chavez could not capitalize! I was actually surprised Martinez went after Chavez several times to try to get him to trade.

A rematch? Are you serious? That was almost a shutout! If some other boxer pulls the same move of getting a knockdown in the last round, would he deserve a rematch? Smart move of hyping the last round knockdown to convince people to buy a second PPV. If they do fight again, there's no chance that Chavez will get 10 points in a round. Sergio will be smart enough to box if he's that comfortable in the last round next time. Sergio has nothing to prove to the middleweight pretenders, and Chavez was the easiest one of them. There's no need for a second affair...

Thats what I think happened. He tore his ligaments when Chavez tried to ko him. You cant run that much with torn ligaments. No way.

It doesn't matter when the injuries happened. He almost finished Martinez. Serg showed tremendous heart by not only getting up, and continue being hit, but trading with Jr...and Serg actually slowed Jr with a big left of his own that allowed him to finish the fight.

It Won't Matter; He Can't Handle Canelo, Nor Chavez If Chavez Fights

Broken hand from hitting a guy in the mouth all night who won't fight back. Staples in your head from a clash of heads. Torn ligaments from trying to get the hell out of the way of Chavez' attack when he decided to fight too late in the fight. And stitches over your eye when Chavez decided too late to let his hands fly. That fight should never have been close. Chavez has some growing up to do. Should have had Sergio horizontal inside 5 rounds.

one helluva performance from Sergio Martinez! Obviously don't know how serious his ligament tears are, I just hope it doesn't have any lasting effects on his mobility
