Comments Thread For: Ricky Hatton Says No More Big Gains Between Fights

RICKY HATTON has ditched the weighting game which saw him pile on FOUR stone between fights.

Hatton, 33, will return to the ring on November 24 – two-and-a-half years since Filipino Manny Pacquiao left him flat on his back in Las Vegas.

The Manchester scrapper has yet to name his opponent for his big comeback – but has pledged to quit his after-bout drinking sessions.

Wow this guy is actually serious about his comeback.

Didn't he just get assaulted by his father though? Guess even that won't phase him. Whatever, everyone knows that UK fans are GOAT.

      Hopefully he commits to that.

Gaining so much weight between fights is never good on the body.

I really hope that Ricky accomplish something on his comeback, stay at 140 and I have to say he should stay away from Pac & Floyd...

It's actually going to be 3 1/2 years.

            Hatton should have stayed retired.

Too late now, it's already had it's effect.

The damage has been done already, not sure why he thinks it'll affect his future fights.

better late than never. rickys gains between fights turned his training camps into fat loss camps.

its no wonder that fighters who come into camps waaaaaay overweight don't really pick up new skills or gain anything from a technical point of view. their training is focussed on cutting weight that they don't have the time to learn and implement anything from a technical stance.

Just let him get KO'd again and he will realize he should have listened to his gut feelings and not the people and his pride.
