Gayweather isnt dominant, hes slowed doesnt hit very hard and ducks every legit threat from 140lbs to 154lbs ,If mayweather is the Prize I say bring it! Canelo or Jcc jr would stop that guy ! Mayweather isnt scaring anybody trust me goin life and death with cotto doesnt get you respect, and fyi its september 16th Jcc jr fought martinez again whos mayweather fought??? were still waitin on that pesky manny fight that mysteriously never seems to come off..
theres guys out there that are legitimate threats inside the ring to Canelo and Jcc jr but none of them are named Mayweather thats for damn sure!
Give me legitimate reasons why you think Canelo beats Floyd/Cotto since it IS the point of the thread. I don't care about any of the other stuff if you want to argue about floyd go somewhere else. I'll help you out... Canelo has a size advantage on floyd... what else do you see that he has to be him? Canelo can probably outwork Cotto at this point... what else? Or do you just follow the results of fighters and not watch their performances in ring?

Why though? I personally don't think he does. Cotto's a live fighter and while Canelo can have a higher work out I see cotto eating through Canelos sub-par defense.

Just watched the fight and Canelo should be ashamed of himself for beating up on little people. And what did Cortez have a bet on the fight to end in the 5th round?

Canelo aka fists of stones would get Cotto shook early since Cotto likes to go to war.

Depends how Cotto starts off and if he uses his jab to keep distance for a bit. I can see Cotto frustrating Canelo into mistakes and taking advantage of it. Cotto likes to goto war but he's a skilled technical boxer as well.

Call me crazy but I just don't like this kid (canelo) I never did. He's a middleweight; super Middleweight fighting at 154. Martinez or Chavez Jr. will put this kids lights out.

Cotto's last great fight was with Mayweather; I'm his biggest fan but I don't think he can beat or compete with top tier fighters anymore. I'll be rooting for him December 1st; he's got a great shot at winning but where does he go from there? He should retire.

Canelo has not been tested yet. Name one person who you can say he fought that was a real test. Mosley was the most recognized boxer he fought and Mosley was way over the hill.
